Great hit out for @ealingtrailfinders v Doncaster on Saturday. Vital 2 points for us in a game that finished 17 all ? #yealing #rugby #championship

Jumping on board #bestnine Thought I’d say Happy New Year now rather than later as for a lot of friends and family around the world, 2016 has already begun! 2015 has been a massive year for me!! Never would have thought I’d be where I am now, being so comfortable in myself. I took probably the biggest step in my life back in February, telling team mates, past and present and close friends about being gay. It’s something I’d kept secret for far too long and mentally, was affecting me and taking its toll. The messages of support have been incredibly overwhelming. Some I’ve received have really shown me that doing what I did so publicly not only helped me but also others young & old and has made this whole experience worthwhile. It seems it’ll always be a struggle for LGBTI people to express themselves fully without being judged, it’s just how society is. The people within rugby have definitely changed my opinion, however, making me realise I can do what I love whilst being true to myself. All this wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my best friend @rembolina & beautiful little sis @oliviastanley.x who’ve both been great with everything! I feel a lot of thanks must go to @bencohenstandup who was a huge influence for me and the chance to even meet him was amazing. Gave me a lot of good advice which really helped in my decision to just be myself and come out. My man @lorenzo_uk has always been by my side too and someone I couldn’t be without ❤️ In other news, a huge year for my brother @jess.mjstanley who represented @manu.samoa in the Rugby World Cup ? a huge achievement and one that made the whole family, worldwide, extremely proud! Super excited for 2016 and hopefully I’ll be able to kick on with my own rugby. But first, it’s time to celebrate with a few friends ?? Ciao 2015 ✌?️
